Summary: Community LIFE is an all-inclusive program that empowers older adults (age 55+) to remain at home, while preserving their dignity, independence, and quality of life. Our Recreational Therapist (RT) is responsible for planning and implementing a comprehensive program of therapeutic activities for all participants and the general supervision of the Activities staff. The RT works cooperatively with the Day Center Supervisor and all center staff with scheduling and implementing therapeutic activities. The RT will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards. The RT may be required to make in-home visits as necessary for assessment and on-going case management.
Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy. Minimum of one year experience working with a frail or elderly population (preferably in a multidisciplinary setting). Supervisory experience preferred.
Required Licensure/Certifications
- Valid CTRS license
- Valid Driver’s license.

- Ability to work effectively as a team member with staff, participants, providers and referral sources.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
