About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is a player-coach responsible for both managing a team of Regional Sales Specialists and directly owning a sales territory. This individual will be a selling manager who leads by example—driving sales within their own assigned region while coaching and guiding their team to achieve aggressive growth targets. This role requires a proactive, strategic, and hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, B2B inside sales environment. Communication and collaboration with cross-functional departments such as marketing, product development, and operations are essential to ensure customer satisfaction and continued revenue growth.
What You'll Do
Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Regional Sales Specialists.
- Conduct regular coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, and performance evaluations.
- Set and monitor team KPIs and sales goals aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify training needs and deliver ongoing coaching to improve team performance.
- Promote a positive, competitive, and results-driven sales culture.
- Assist in hiring, onboarding, and retaining top inside sales talent.
Individual Territory Management
- Manage and grow revenue within an assigned geographic or industry-based territory.
- Prospect, develop, and manage customer relationships via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
- Maintain and grow accounts with current customers while identifying and closing new business opportunities.
- Act as a subject matter expert and brand ambassador for SWIG's wholesale product offerings.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales to establish and implement sales strategies, forecasts, and budgets.
- Provide marketing suggestions to align campaigns and promotions with inside sales efforts.
- Analyze sales reports and data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Support CRM best practices and data accuracy across the team.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of inside/outside sales experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or people management role.
- Background in wholesale gift industry and managing both inside and outside sales representatives is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Proven ability to manage and grow B2B sales in a virtual/inside sales model.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) required. Experience in NetSuite and MS Office Suite preferred.
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach and a passion for developing sales talent.
- Travel required to attend trade shows and team meetings approximately 20% of the time.

Note: Swig Life is currently operating under an hybrid work model, and this position will report on site to our Richmond office at least 3 days per week.
