HEALTH EQUITY PROGRAM LEADER (RN)

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Equity Program Leader (Registered Nurse) will work under the direction of the Chief Diversity Officer & AVP of Health Advocacy and Fairness to develop and implement unique strategies to reduce health disparities and promote health equity within the organizational pillars of Culture, Quality, Service, Value, Patient Satisfaction, and Access across the institution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working directly with clinical leaders to close gaps in access and quality of care for patient groups that experience frequent disparities.
- Working with entity leaders to develop and implement strategies to address disparities, meet regulatory requirements, promote a healthy work environment and improve patient outcomes.
- Developing data dashboards to monitor the progress of health equity interventions.
- Managing specific programs to address health disparities.
- Facilitating educational modules to grow organizational health equity knowledge-base.
- Developing annual health equity reports/presentations for internal and external stakeholders that include impact of health equity efforts.
- Conducting research on health equity interventions to ensure effectiveness.
- Leading in the development of inclusive and culturally competent clinical policies.
- Incorporating LBH Medical Group more firmly into health equity plan.
- Overseeing Health Advocacy & Fairness Councils efforts.
- Overseeing existing Employee Resource Groups (Interfaith, Disabilities, Black Culture, LGBTQIA+, Pan Asian, GME, Hispanic Latino) and guide the development of new groups.
- Leading initiatives to address bias and promote an inclusive work environment.
- Guiding collaborations within LBH to promote equity and health equity for team members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate of Science in Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Master of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
- > 2 years of professional experience in health equity, health policy development, health education, health data analysis or community outreach is required.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information effectively and engage diverse audiences.
- Data Analysis: Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation to inform decision-making and program planning.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
