Position Overview: Associate Director, Programs and Content, Events
Eurasia Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, Programs and Content, Events to play a central role in the strategy, editorial direction, and successful delivery of the firm's events portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess excellent editorial judgment, a journalist's instinct for narrative, and a strategist's understanding of what moves global business and policy conversations.
Based in New York or Washington, DC, this individual will design and develop world-class in-person and virtual event programs—ranging from global flagship summits to policymaker roundtables and executive dinners—with attendee profiles ranging from C-suite business leaders, policymakers, and leading experts, academics, and influencers.
Working closely with events marketing, operations, and sales, as well as practice leaders and sectoral analysts, this role ensures that all events are content-rich, commercially impactful, and aligned with Eurasia Group and GZERO Media brands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the editorial direction, strategy, and content development for a global portfolio of events, including flagship summits, livestreams, roundtables, and bespoke convenings across the US, Latin America, Asia, the Middle East, and Europe.
- Research global trends, policy shifts, and emerging themes to shape compelling event agendas, identifying emerging and relevant topics at the intersection of business, geopolitics, technology, and policy.
- Cultivate relationships with subject-matter experts, think tanks, NGOs, and private sector leaders to inform program development.
- Collaborate with the stakeholder engagement manager and practice teams to identify and secure high-profile speakers, prioritizing diversity of gender, race, cultural background, and perspective, as well as seniority and reputation (e.g., C-suite executives, ministers).
- Work alongside sales and commercial teams to create sponsor-relevant content and assist in pitches that drive event revenue, supporting overall sponsorship growth.
- Partner with marketing and events colleagues to deliver integrated campaigns, manage sponsorship fulfillment, and contribute to seamless event production and execution.
- Create new event series and platforms, leveraging bold editorial and commercial ideas to drive commercial growth and brand affinity.
- Write and oversee production of event programs, post-event reports, moderator/speaker briefs, and other supporting content.
- Travel globally as required (~25%) to oversee on-site event execution and stakeholder engagement.
- Champion high standards of editorial quality, inclusivity, and creative risk-taking consistent with Eurasia Group and GZERO Media values.
Requirements
- 5–7 years of event programming experience focused on geopolitics, macroeconomics, or related topics.
- Extensive experience designing and developing editorial programs for large-scale, complex global events within media, technology, or financial services organizations.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with senior executives, policymakers, and subject matter experts with executive presence and strong communication skills.
- Proven track record of collaborating across functions—including marketing, sales/commercial, and research/analysis—to maximize client engagement and commercial impact.
- Strong writing and content development skills, including experience crafting event agendas and related content.
- Track record of creating branded or commercial event content is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Must be able to work in the United States (New York or Washington, DC).

The applicable base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
