Job Description:
Before you apply, please note
This is an on-site role, (4) days a week and open to candidates in Salt Lake City, UT or within commuting distance of our South Salt Lake City headquarters.
PDQ is seeking experienced, proactive Account Executives to help drive adoption of our modern endpoint management product, PDQ Connect, among our existing Deploy & Inventory customers. This role is designed for sales professionals who excel at account discovery, consultative engagement, and cross-selling within an existing base.
You'll take a strategic, customer-focused approach to uncover how Connect can complement or enhance the workflows of customers already using our on-prem solutions. Your mission: identify expansion opportunities, drive interest in Connect, and guide customers through the buying journey—all while partnering closely with Sales Engineers to demonstrate value and accelerate time to adoption.
This is an ideal opportunity for former AEs or Senior SDRs who thrive in solution-based sales, love engaging deeply with IT users, and are energized by helping customers modernize.
What you"ll be doing:
Lead targeted expansion efforts by identifying and engaging existing PDQ Deploy & Inventory customers who could benefit from PDQ Connect.
Conduct thoughtful account reviews to understand current workflows, pain points, and Connect-fit opportunities—despite limited product usage data.
Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach (inbound or outbound) through discovery, product demos, objection handling, and close.
Work closely with Sales Engineers to scope technical fit, support proofs of concept, and deliver compelling demos tailored to customer needs.
Educate and guide sysadmins, IT managers, and other stakeholders on how PDQ Connect can simplify endpoint management—especially for remote and cloud environments.
Maintain clear, accurate pipeline tracking and account notes in Salesforce.
Collaborate across teams to provide feedback from the field that helps refine our Connect positioning, enablement, and product direction.
What you bring:
2+ years of experience as an Account Executive, Account Manager, or Senior SDR with closing responsibilities—preferably in a SaaS or IT-focused sales environment. Comfort working consultatively within existing customer accounts to uncover and pursue cross-sell opportunities. Strong communication and discovery skills, with an ability to tailor technical value to varying personas. Ability to self-manage outbound prospecting efforts and handle inbound interest effectively. Familiarity with endpoint management or sysadmin personas is a plus. Enthusiasm for working closely with Sales Engineers in a team-selling model. Proficiency with CRM systems (we use Salesforce) and maintaining accurate deal data.
Who you are:
Ownership: You take responsibility for projects, drive results, and deliver on commitments Honesty: You demonstrate integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior in all interactions Collaboration: You work effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a culture of teamwork Improvement: You continuously seek opportunities for growth, innovation, and personal development Detail-oriented, organized and a good team player Independent, highly motivated, and solution-driven mentality to all activities Excellent interpersonal skillset, particularly with the ability to build authentic business relationships Ability to proactively problem-solve as customer liaison across technical and commercial obstacles Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, and the ability to meet tight deadlines Proven track record of learning new SaaS products and having ability to demo them at a high level and bring in additional technical resources for deeper technical requirements
