PDQ"s Core Values: Honesty, Ownership, Collaboration and Improvement
Job Description:
Before you apply, please note
This is an on-site role, (4) days a week and open to candidates in Salt Lake City, UT or within commuting distance of our South Salt Lake City headquarters.
PDQ is looking for a highly driven and entrepreneurial Account Executive to lead our initial push into the MSP space. This is a rare opportunity to be the first hire in a growing go-to-market effort targeting micro MSPs (5–25 employees)—you'll play a key role in developing a scalable sales motion, building pipeline, shaping product direction, and helping MSPs discover the power of PDQ Connect.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership of new territory, and isn't afraid to test, iterate, and help define what good looks like. You'll be selling primarily to MSP owners and lead engineers—driving adoption of Connect and, where appropriate, expanding into our broader PDQ suite including SmartDeploy.
What you"ll be doing:
Own the full sales cycle for the MSP segment—from prospecting to deal close—across both inbound and outbound motions. Build trusted relationships with MSP owners, lead engineers, and technical stakeholders to understand their workflow challenges and introduce how PDQ Connect can support them. Evangelize PDQ Connect as a scalable, modern endpoint management solution designed to meet the evolving needs of MSPs—especially those managing remote or hybrid environments. Deliver high-level product demos to showcase value, and partner with Sales Engineers to deepen technical conversations as needed. Attend MSP-focused events and conferences to engage with potential customers, represent PDQ, and provide feedback on event ROI. Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, and GTM Strategy to influence product roadmap, positioning, pricing, and packaging based on field feedback. Establish foundational processes and playbooks for future MSP-focused AEs as the team grows. Track pipeline rigorously in Salesforce, and contribute to testing outreach strategies, messaging, and segmentation.
Why This Role Matters
You won't just be selling—you'll be shaping the future of PDQ's MSP business. Your insights and customer relationships will directly impact how we evolve PDQ Connect to better serve this market. You'll also help define the blueprint for how we scale a successful MSP sales team.
Who you are:
Ownership: You take responsibility for projects, drive results, and deliver on commitments Honesty: You demonstrate integrity, transparency, and ethical behavior in all interactions Collaboration: You work effectively with cross-functional teams and foster a culture of teamwork Improvement: You continuously seek opportunities for growth, innovation, and personal development Detail-oriented, organized and a good team player Independent, highly motivated, and solution-driven mentality to all activities Excellent interpersonal skillset, particularly with the ability to build authentic business relationships Ability to proactively problem-solve as customer liaison across technical and commercial obstacles Strong attention to detail, goal-oriented, and the ability to meet tight deadlines Proven track record of learning new SaaS products and having ability to demo them at a high level and bring in additional technical resources for deeper technical requirements
We"re looking for people who have:
3–5+ years of experience in SaaS sales, ideally in an AE role selling into SMBs or technical buyers. A proven track record of owning outbound and inbound sales motions with minimal structure or precedent. Strong comfort speaking with technical personas like sysadmins, lead engineers, or MSP principals. Excellent discovery, demo, and consultative selling skills—especially when navigating net-new markets. Entrepreneurial mindset: you're energized by building, testing, iterating, and learning fast. Experience working cross-functionally with Product or Marketing teams to inform GTM strategy. High comfort with CRM systems and pipeline hygiene (we use Salesforce). Bonus: Experience selling to or working within the MSP space.
Tools we use:
Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Office 365
