Position Overview:
The Director, Server Roadmaps, Customer Telemetry, and Dashboards will be a key member of the Customer Engineering team at Fleet. Customer Engineering acts as the direct interface with customers during pre-sales engagements and solution development.
In this role, you will lead technical conversations with customers during the pre-sales process, communicating Fleet's portfolio and managing first-line technical discussions across a range of disciplines—including mechanical, electrical, and controls.
Additionally, you will be responsible for researching, documenting, and maintaining platform-level requirements related to power, cooling, and monitoring systems. This role bridges customer engagement and internal roadmap development to ensure our solutions align with evolving technical demands and operational expectations.
This role includes up to 25% travel.
Job Responsibilities:
· Customer Engagement – Pre-Sales: Deliver Fleet's value proposition to prospective customers by articulating our platform capabilities across power, cooling, and monitoring. This requires a broad technical understanding and the ability to engage credibly across a range of customer personas.
· Customer Engagement – Post-Sales: Serve as a key point of contact for customers after deal close, working to gather, refine, and translate requirements related to telemetry, monitoring, and reporting for critical data center infrastructure.
· Technology Partnership: Collaborate with silicon vendors and hardware Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to stay current on telemetry standards and evolving platform requirements—particularly those associated with next-generation CPUs, GPUs, and networking technologies.
· Cross-Functional Integration: Work closely with internal engineering and controls teams to translate customer and vendor requirements into Fleet's data center designs and control system architectures. Support deployment of sensing, telemetry, and reporting infrastructure across our facilities.
Baseline Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of relevant industry experience.
· 7+ years of experience in controls, thermal systems, hardware design, or automation.
· 7+ years of experience developing proposals for complex technical systems—including writing architecture documentation, Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, and technical whitepapers.
Preferred Requirements:
· MS Degree in an engineering discipline or MBA with 10+ years of experience
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface confidently with both internal engineering teams and external customers.
· Direct experience in a technical sales or customer facing role
· Broad multi-disciplinary experience in thermal engineering, controls, or hardware design
Expected Total Compensation Range (Base + Bonus): $240,000 - $300,000
