The Surveillance Operator plays a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility. This position involves monitoring surveillance systems, identifying potential threats, and ensuring compliance with security protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and law enforcement when necessary.
Duties
- Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance equipment to detect suspicious activities or incidents.
- Document observations and prepare detailed reports on incidents for further analysis.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch personnel regarding any security concerns or emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as required.
- Conduct regular inspections of surveillance equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Participate in loss prevention strategies by identifying vulnerabilities within the facility.
- Manage conflicts that may arise on-site, ensuring a safe environment for all personnel and visitors.
Skills
- Certification in security operations or related field is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to relay information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in dispatching or coordinating responses during incidents is advantageous.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies.
- Proficiency in conflict management to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology.
- Ability to write clear and concise reports documenting incidents and observations.
- Understanding of law enforcement protocols and procedures is a plus.
