We're now one of the top 5 builders by permits in Edmonton and top 20 in Calgary. We've grown from a small (but mighty) team of 17 in 2023 to over 75 in 2025 (and counting). The Opportunity
Building something new is a privilege. This is a net-new role at Akash Homes—meaning you'll be the first person to shape it. You"ll be building out a critical function from the ground up, creating the playbook, not just following one.
One year at Akash Homes is like three years elsewhere. Due to our rapid expansion and unique operational challenges, this role will push you to grow as a leader while making a direct impact on the company"s success.

Top 3 Priorities for Your First 6 Months:
We're a fast-moving business—and the truth is, things change. But if you join us, here are the top three priorities you'll immediately contribute to:
Execution Support for Critical Projects You'll join our internal Process Optimization Strike Team, supporting the success of high-impact projects like our SharePoint migration and AI readiness initiatives. You'll help turn strategy into action—and keep things moving forward. Data & Content Governance You'll work alongside department leads to develop file structure systems, set up data best practices, and design internal training that helps every team manage content with integrity, consistency, and ease. Become Our M365 Champion We're in the early stages of embedding Microsoft 365 tools across our business. From Teams and SharePoint to Power Automate and Copilot, you'll help unlock the full potential of the platform—bringing enthusiasm, experimentation, and expertise to the table.
Your Day-to-Day:
In addition to team support and hardware management, here's what you'll take ownership of:
Act as the internal lead and primary point of contact with our outsourced IT provider, collaborating to ensure servers, network, and core infrastructure run smoothly. Manage hardware and software systems—everything from iPads to laptops, software logins to system permissions. Help build out our future tech stack, including possible rollout of device management tools. Be our in-house SME on the M365 ecosystem—including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Outlook, Power Automate, and Microsoft Copilot. Design and deliver training for internal teams—covering tools from Slack to AI productivity platforms. Build file structures, develop governance rules, and support the rollout of a unified approach to how our teams organize and store data. Collaborate closely with the BizOps team and business/process analysts to align tech with operations—ensuring our tools support our growth Foster a culture of continuous improvement around tech systems and tools

Education & Certifications:
We're less concerned about formal degrees and more interested in your drive to learn and apply technology in real-world ways. That said, here are some credentials that would be considered an asset:
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Microsoft 365 Certifications (such as Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Teams Administrator Associate, or Fundamentals) Certifications or hands-on experience with Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power Apps)
