Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Tech Leader - Welding to oversee our welding operations, assign jobs based on qualifications and skills, and ensure the efficiency and quality of our welding processes. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, actively involved in welding activities, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign welding tasks to team members based on their qualifications, skills, and experience.
- Ensure the welding bay operates efficiently and effectively, optimizing workflow and minimizing downtime.
- Be actively involved in welding activities, providing hands-on support as needed.
- Coach and mentor welders on proper welding techniques and best practices to improve skills and performance.
- Monitor and ensure the quality of welds during production, conducting inspections and adhering to standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve welding issues in real-time, minimizing production delays and rework.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety procedures and protocols.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet production goals and improve processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a welder, with advanced welding skills and certifications.
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a welding or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, codes, and standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to mentor and coach team members.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
