Outpatient Psychotherapy Team Lead

Summary of Position:
The Psychotherapy Team Leader supervises staff working within SHMG Embedded Therapy Program Collaborative Care Model. In this capacity, the team leader also maintains a caseload of patients in the primary care setting, working closely with primary care providers, psychiatry, and other care team members to address the behavioral health needs of targeted patient populations.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervises therapists ensuring program goals and compliance are met, as well as effective program implementation.
- Works with the Director to develop policies and procedures to guide program operations.
- Leads the onboarding process for new staff members, ensuring the team is properly trained and aligned with organizational and programmatic goals.
- Provides psychoeducation and develops individualized behavioral change plans.
- Delivers brief psychosocial interventions and collaborates with the care team to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Reviews caseloads and staff-to-patient ratios to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Conducts regular case reviews to assess patient progress and address any care plan adjustments.
- Guides a team of LCSW’s ensuring program goals are accomplished and compliance is maintained with all federal, state, and internal policies and procedures.
- Provides clinical supervision.
Minimum Qualifications
Education, Training & Experience
- Graduate degree from an accredited master’s program in a mental health field.
- NYS Licensure.
- Training in brief psychosocial interventions, such as problem-solving treatment.
- Supervisor experience preferred.
Certifications / Licensure
- NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker

- Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
Expected Salary Range: $73,008-$119,870
Compensation may vary based upon, but not limited to: overall experience and qualifications, shift, and location.
