About the role
Provides leadership and oversight of student behavior management programs. This role ensures disciplinary and incentive systems align with Job Corps policies, facilitates behavioral interventions, and oversees the Review Board process.
What you"ll do
- Ensure Center disciplinary/incentive system conforms to Job Corps policies and guidelines as noted in the PRH and Company SOPs.
- Review all incident reports and refer to the appropriate level of the Center"s disciplinary system for resolution.
- Act as liaison between Center and judicial agencies/courts.
- Solicit legal representation for students and coordinate bail bond activities.
- Coordinate activities of the Center Review Board.
- Administer consequences for disciplinary infractions in accordance with Student Handbook.
- Develop and maintains positive relationships with all Center departments through availability and timely communications.
- Provide staff training in Center disciplinary/incentive policies and procedures, including responsibilities of staff.
- Provide orientation to new students, thoroughly explaining Zero Tolerance, Center rules & regulations, disciplinary/incentive system, and legal services.
- Initiate behavior-related Serious Incident Reports for submission to Regional and National offices of Job Corps.
- Inform appropriate staff of student behavioral incidents.
- Ensure Review Board folders for pending appeals are submitted to the Regional Office in a timely manner.
- Ensure assigned program areas and systems meet or exceed current DOL/Company performance standards.
- Recommend and implement department and personnel changes as approved by the Center Director and coordinated with Human Resources prior to implementation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor"s degree required in a related field plus two years experience in youth counseling, law enforcement, or related field or combination of education and related experience with experience substituted on a month-for-month basis.
- Must have valid driver"s license in state of residence.
The pay range for this role is:59,400 - 72,600 USD per year(STL JCC)
