Salary Range: $47.15 - $65.01
Pay rates are determined based on experience and internal equity.
Position Summary:
- Reports to the Chief of Quality Assurance (CQAO), Risk Management and Infection Control.
- Support activities and initiatives of the integrated Quality Improvement Program.
- Analyze, monitor and evaluate outcomes of National, State and internal quality indicators.

- Assist department leaders and medical staff in achieving quality improvement and patient safety goals.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with education of directors, staff and physicians in Continuous Quality Improvement, Patient Safety initiatives including BETA HEART, Quest for Zero Patient Harm and best practice according to current standards of care.
- Extract and analyze data and information from various sources to meet regulatory reporting requirements.
- Record patient and/or family complaints in a nonjudgmental and compassionate manner. Forward complaints and grievances to appropriate department leader for review and follow-up.
- Enter and review patient safety event reports in a timely manner.
- Participate in teams and projects that support internal or external quality measures/ risk reduction strategies and compliance.
- Maintains current knowledge of key hospital accrediting and regulatory agency indicators/standards including CMS, Title 22, and CIHQ.
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Participate in preparation activities related to regulatory surveys. Assist CQAO with facilitation and organization of licensing and accreditation activities when surveyors are on site conducting surveys.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director.
Essential Functions:

Position Qualifications:
- Education: Registered Nurse licensed in California - Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Experience in acute care setting. Varied clinical experience essential.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) and Hospital Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP) Preferred. Ability to obtain HACP certification within 18 months.
- Previous experience in clinical Quality Assurance preferred.
