Treats patients with the various treatment modalities. Utilizes all treatment set-ups and all treatment machines, understanding the current protocols. Simulates/Treats patients following the orders of the Radiation Oncologists. Presents field verification films to Radiation Oncologists to verify set-up. Adjusts fields as the Radiation Oncologist directs. Documents and follows through on changes and re-filming. Performs Quality Assurance checks daily on all treatment/CT machines. Communicates problems/issues with machines to physicist, radiation oncologist, lead radiation therapist. Observes and questions patients about their response to treatment. Screens and counsels or directs physical and emotional problems to Radiation Oncologist and/or Nurse and/or Social Worker. Directs patients to nurse/LNA/CMA for weekly evaluation. Maintains room and equipment in clean and orderly manner; regularly performs visual preventive safety inspections. Notifies Lead Therapist of all potential safety hazards pertaining to the equipment.
Certification in radiation therapy by ARRT. CPR certification must be acquired and maintained within three months of hire date and maintained bi- annually. Licensed to practice Radiation Therapy in the State of New Hampshire (1/1/2019) Willingness to work flexible hours without advance notice.
Compensation
- Minimum Pay: $35.33
- Maximum Pay: $53.00
