About the Role:
Albers Aerospace is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Data Engineer Technician to support our AI team in aggregating and generating training datasets. This is an ideal opportunity for college students pursuing studies in engineering, data science, statistics, or related fields.
What You'll Do:
- Assist in sourcing, labeling, and organizing data for AI training
- Collaborate with engineers and data scientists to prepare datasets
- Follow established data quality protocols and contribute to process improvements
- Perform routine validation and cleanup of data pipelines
- Participate in team meetings and discussions
Who You Are:
- A current undergraduate student in engineering, computer science, statistics, or a related STEM field
- Organized, dependable, and able to follow detailed instructions
- Interested in AI/ML and hands-on data work
- Able to commit 20–30 hours per week with a flexible schedule that works around your classes
- A U.S. Citizen (required due to data handling regulations)
Requirements:
- No prior experience is required — just curiosity, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work independently.
- Must be organized, dependable, detail oriented and able to follow instructions
- Must be a US citizen able to pass a background security check.
Nice to Have (but Not Required):
- Familiarity with Python, Excel, or data annotation tools
- Experience with large datasets or any coursework in data science
