Position Summary:
The Reimbursement Manager (RM) works collaboratively across Conway Medical Center (CMC) and its affiliates to compliantly maximize third party reimbursement pursuant to Federal and State laws and regulations. Leads the preparation process for any required cost reports, process third party rate appeals, track and report on third party receivables and payables, and advise CMC leadership on reimbursement strategy and the impact of emerging reimbursement regulations.
Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or health care administration required.

Master’s Degree in closely related field preferred.
Experience
-
4-6 years’ experience in healthcare environment with regulatory and cost reporting experience.

Experience with IME, GME, DSH and Wage Index required.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Actively participate within the Finance team including financial planning, financial reporting / accounting and revenue cycle to ensure that CMCs needs are met.

Responsible for the oversight of reimbursement associated with Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare and any other governmental cost reports and regulatory support at Conway Medical Center.

Responsible for continuing development and integration of the hospital’s cost reporting systems, utilizing generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to perform requirements associated with the annual independent financial statement audit preparation.

Analyze and interpret federal and state regulations on a continuing basis.

Oversight includes, but is not limited to, graduate medical education reimbursement, wage index reporting, uncompensated care reporting, bad debt reimbursement reporting, DSH reporting, 340 B funding and other matters across all entities in the CMC system.

Analyze & evaluate data from various systems and interact & collaborate with various hospital leaders and employees.

Conducts accounting and transactional research and analysis, assist with annual external audits, compile deliverables for high-priority external data requests, support various month-end close analyses, and takes a lead role in the annual financial planning process.

Assures the integrity of financial and statistical data, via review of general ledger entries, reports, reconciliations, or other analysis.

Provides leadership in a team environment to support complex, ambiguous, high-impact, cross-divisional initiatives and projects.

Actively communicates and presents information to audiences of all levels of CMC.

Uses reporting tools to develop effective management reporting information with significant impact and support to senior leadership and department directors.

Designs, implements, and supports programs and tools for financial reporting for complex activities.
