Key Responsibilities:
- Market new and renewal commercial insurance policies to insurance carriers to secure competitive quotes and coverage options.
- Build and maintain relationships with underwriters and insurance carriers to negotiate terms and rates.
- Collaborate with the sales team to assess client needs and develop customized insurance solutions for businesses.
- Prepare and submit accurate and complete applications for new business and renewals.
- Ensure timely follow-up with carriers to obtain responses and address any issues or concerns.
- Review policy terms and conditions to ensure they align with client expectations and requirements.
- Provide ongoing support to the sales team and clients throughout the policy lifecycle.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, insurance products, and regulatory changes.
- Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote the brokerage's commercial insurance offerings.
- Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance knowledge of commercial insurance products, industry best practices, and new market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- RIBO (Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario) license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial insurance marketing or brokering.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products (property, liability, commercial auto, etc.).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.
- Proficiency in insurance software and Microsoft Office Suite.
