PSV has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced Physician Relations Coordinator to join our dedicated Marketing Department! This specific role will be supporting our Fairfax, VA location. This is a Full-Time working M-F, 40 hours a week. Part of the role is being out in the community, visiting referring practices.

The Physician Relations Coordinator reports to the Marketing Manager and is responsible to design, implement and report on activities to build stronger ties with referring medical practices and hospitals as well as with the communities served in Northern Virginia. He/she performs independently with minimal supervision to organize and coordinate visits, schedules and events on behalf of Pediatric Specialists of Virginia (PSV) involving select physicians and staff according to the Strategic Marketing Plan and quarterly/annual objectives and performance standards.
Job Description
• Organize and implement regular outreach visits to referring physician practices and hospitals designed to provide personalized communication and improve their understanding of how PSV clinicians and services can be of most benefit to their patients in order to increase referrals.
• Serve as a PSV first point of contact to handle routine inquiries and information requests, serve as a conduit for operations process improvement suggestions, facilitate resolution of perceived problems, and strengthen relationships between PSV providers and their referring colleagues.
• Identify and coordinate logistical support for promotional opportunities for and with select PSV specialists (e.g., outreach visits, professional and public speaking engagements, events, forums, or interviews).
• Develop, maintain and monitor a coordinated schedule of physician and practice contact among designated PSV, Inova and Children’s National with Northern Virginia pediatric and family medicine practices to avoid logistical problems and confusion for referring practices.
• Schedule and coordinate regular (quarterly) meetings of physician office administrators and key staff to enhance practice staff knowledge and appreciation of PSV clinicians and services.
• Establish and maintain an accurate and current contact database for use in communications and as in customer relations management to track key practice information, consistent messaging, and responsible follow-up of the visits made.
• Provide input and suggestions on creating PSV collateral material and messaging for use with referring physician and hospital practices.
• Provide input and suggestions on creating the annual Marketing implementation plan and budget in support of strengthening referral relationships.
Minimum Qualifications Required
• Bachelor’s degree
• Three years of experience as a physician relations liaison and/or pharmaceutical or medical device representative working with medical practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent customer relations skills
• Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle for outreach trips

• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Experience using customer relations management software or Excel for that purpose
