ABW Appliances is currently seeking a professional, highly self-motivated Warehouse Associate. If you have a love of meeting people and being part of a team along with contributing directly to the bottom line of a multi-million-dollar organization, this is the position for you! We are looking for individuals who are self-starters and solid work ethic.
Position Summary:
As the Warehouse Associate, you will be loading and unloading appliance product ranging from refrigerators to microwave ovens in accordance with ABW's operating procedures. Allowing our delivery and install crews to complete their tasks in a timely manner.
Essential Functions:
- Receiving and Inspecting Shipments: Unload appliance deliveries, check for damages, and verify inventory accuracy.
- Order Fulfillment: Pick and stage appliances for delivery, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery.
- Quality Control: Inspect appliances for defects before shipping and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Inventory Management: Preparing inventory to relocate to other ABW warehouses, perform cycle counts, report inventory discrepancies,
- Ensure work area remains clean and organized.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations and ABW policies and procedures to ensure workplace safety.
- Complete other warehouse duties as necessary.
Qualification Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior warehouse experience required. Experience in appliance distribution preferred.
- Must have a valid driver's license and transportation.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and delivery tickets.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use a computer and/or tablet required. Experience with warehouse management systems preferred.
- Ability to Multi-task and have solid organizational skills.
Physical Requirements:
Physical activity such as reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping to inspect appliances, as well as lifting and carrying objects over 50 pounds is a part of daily activity.
Position Details:
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $18.00/hr (Minimum Starting Rate)
Schedule: M-F, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
