Project Manager, Capital Projectsto lead a large-scale Greenfield construction initiative for one of our Life Sciences clients. This individual will be a key leader across the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design through construction, CQV, and operational startup. This is a high-visibility position requiring deep experience in project execution, especially within Greenfield site development and regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead cross-functional project teams delivering large-scale, complex Greenfield capital projects.
- Serve as a liaison between owners, architects/engineers, construction managers, OEMs, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution across all project phases.
- Provide project oversight for design, construction, equipment installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV).
- Drive project execution to meet scope, schedule, and budget while mitigating risks and resolving issues proactively.
- Oversee contractor and supplier management including RFP development, scope negotiations, and performance tracking.
- Ensure compliance with GMP regulations, engineering standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
- Develop and maintain project documentation including equipment specifications, impact assessments, technical reports, schedules, and status updates.
- Analyze project performance, track KPIs, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts related to construction, equipment, and startup issues.
- Identify and implement best practices to continuously improve project delivery processes.
- Collaborate with internal Quality, EHS&S, and Engineering stakeholders to support successful project delivery and site readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related Life Sciences discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with strong experience managing Greenfield construction and capital projects in regulated (GxP) manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies and project control systems.
- Strong understanding of clean utility and process utility systems, facility design, and GMP requirements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- PMP or PE certification preferred.
