As a member of the Cloud Infrastructure team, we are seeking an entry level Cloud Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our applications and services. You will work closely with our development, operations, and security teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes, reliable infrastructure, and robust monitoring systems. In addition, the Engineer will be responsible for supporting and deploying could services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS) as well as cloud server administration with the mentality and concept of Infrastructure as Code (IaC). The successful candidate will be expected to integrate and support cloud capabilities accounting for scenarios including service quality, outage management, subscription management, and cost-efficient solution architecture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure using cloud platforms with guidance from Senior Engineers/Architects. (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment of applications and infrastructure changes.
- Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Implement and enforce security best practices and compliance policies within the infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and service interruptions.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure design, processes, and procedures.
- Ensure the security of the Cloud infrastructure by implementing best practices, managing access controls, and conducting regular security assessments and audits.
- Implement solutions based on architectural design principles to satisfy customer requirements
- Provide solution based on various cloud computing technologies, business drivers, and emerging computer trends
- Identify and define technical requirements for cloud service-based applications
- Collaborate and learn from other engineers/architects with handling configuration, systems performance analysis, and optimization.
- Collaborate and learn from other engineers/architects on providing problem and incident management along with chronic issue remediation plans and execution.
- Providing day-to-day remediation of risk and compliance issues in the environment.
- Performing duties following all company standards regarding engagement, change management, and escalations.
- Escalate as well as assist other engineers with escalating issues to vendors and providing root cause analysis and incident reports.
- Providing timely resolution to support issues.
- Work with a dedicated 24x7 operations team, engineering new ways of efficiently triaging events generated by the monitoring tools.
- Creation and maintenance of KB and SOP documents.
Essential Requirements
Candidates need to have verifiable knowledge and understanding of the concepts with:?
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Experience with software/configuration management tools (Ansible, Chocolatey, Chef, Puppet)
