Are you passionate about supporting individuals in their journey toward recovery? Join our dedicated team in Baltimore as an Overnight Behavioral Health Technician and make a difference in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
What You'll Do:
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you'll play a vital role in the wellbeing of our clients by providing support, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and assisting in daily operations throughout the overnight hours. You'll work closely with clinical and nursing staff to help meet the needs of individuals in our care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, client-centered care that promotes safety and emotional well-being
- Monitor and support clients during overnight hours
- Conduct regular facility checks to ensure a safe and secure environment
- Assist clients with activities of daily living and respond to behavioral concerns
- Administer urine drug screenings and breathalyzer tests
- Perform facility cleaning duties (sanitizing common areas, kitchen, gym, etc.)
- Document client observations and communicate effectively with the treatment team
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support or facilitate group or community meetings when needed
What You'll Bring:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in behavioral health, psychology, or a related field is a plus
- First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Training in motivational interviewing, trauma-informed care, or recovery coaching a plus
- Ability to use basic computer programs (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Strong communication skills and a calm, supportive presence
- Knowledge of community resources is a bonus
