Job Summary: Facilitate & coordinate communication between patients, family members, or their appropriate surrogate decision makers & CaroMont Health to provide support & guidance on issues involving patient complaints, grievances, & potential risk exposures. Serve as a resource and provide guidance for patients, families, and appropriate departments throughout the organization for successful resolution of issues & concerns. Proactive identification of actual or suspected issues or events in the earliest stages to provide clear communication, guidance, & support for complaint resolution & risk mitigation. Coordinate & participate in grievance management to include appropriate communication & documentation of the grievance per Complaint Management System policy.
Qualifications: Associates degree with at least 2 years of relevant work experience, preferably in healthcare, human services, or related field. North Carolina Notary Public is eligible with completion of requirements within the first 3–6 months of employment. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deal tactfully & navigate complex situations involving patients, physicians, staff, department leaders & families. Ability to communicate with people from different backgrounds. Strong problem-solving, time management, critical thinking, and organizational skills are required. Basic understanding of medical terminology. Maintain the confidentiality of all information. Proficient in Microsoft Office software & related programs
