Position: J-Family Ambassador Program Manager
Reports to: Family Engagement Director
Classification: Part-Time (20 hours/week), $23000 annually
Location: Pozez Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (5-8 hours a week on site)

Overview

The Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia is seeking a dynamic, organized, and relationship-driven professional to manage our J-Family Ambassador (JFA) Program. This unique initiative welcomes and connects new families raising Jewish children in Northern Virginia, helping them feel at home in the Jewish community from the very beginning.

The Program Manager leads a team of part-time J-Family Ambassadors who engage families, deliver welcome gifts, and offer resources and connections. The manager will also plan family-friendly programs, expand outreach efforts, and grow the visibility and impact of the program under the Growing Jewish Families umbrella.

Key Responsibilities

·Supervise and support a team of part-time J-Family Ambassadors (currently six staff members).

·Collaborate with the Family Engagement Director to develop new programming for families with young children, including planning, marketing, and managing logistics.

·Track participation, manage program budgets, and support ongoing evaluation and reporting.

·Represent the program in the community and on planning committees.

·Submit timely program updates and reports for the Pozez JCC and the Jewish Federation.

·Partner with internal staff and participate in Pozez JCC all-staff meetings.

·Maintain an active and engaging presence on social media and other outreach platforms.

·Supervise and train JFAs on the usage of social media, including the creation and maintenance of online communities and engagement

·Create and update shared resource documents for the Ambassador team.

·Build and maintain relationships with PJ Library professionals and national networks.

·Create and manage training for JFAs to include relationship based engagement, social media and community engagement, best practices for families, first aid, CPR, and other.

·Take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

·Bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related field or equivalent

·Experience in program development, community engagement, or early childhood/family services

·Strong knowledge of Jewish traditions, holidays, and community life

·Familiarity with Northern Virginia and its Jewish community is a plus

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·Proficient with MS Office, CRMs (such as Salesforce), and web-based applications

·Proven track record of managing social media strategy and content creation across platforms, building vibrant and loyal online communities (personally or professionally)

·Highly organized, dependable, and self-motivated

·Able to work collaboratively and independently

·Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation

·Strong management and supervision skills
