We take the time to learn each individual"s story and help connect them to the appropriate local resources and services to meet their unique needs. Position: Operations Assistant – Bybee Lakes HOPE Center
Pay Range: $20.00 per Hour

Based in Portland, OR
Reports to: Operations Manager
Work Schedule: Full-time. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including early morning, evening, and weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Assistance:
- Verifies program adherence and properly recorded correctly on Participant"s Verification Sheets
- Track participant weekly progress
- Report preparation
- Assist Reentry Coordinator and Operations Manager communicate with participants
- External Volunteer Coordination:
- Assist with volunteer duties and development
- Volunteer scheduling
- Data entry
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Skill, Experience and/or Training Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft programs and/or word processing and spreadsheet software.
- 1 year of experience in human/social services
- 1 year experience in volunteer coordination
- Must have solid computer skills and basic familiarity with office equipment (scanner/ printer)
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Physical/Mental Requirements
The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Hearing and vision adequate for interaction with participants, interaction with staff, and interaction with the general public.
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Work is primarily performed indoors with some outdoor events, within an office setting, occasionally accompanied by moderate noise levels and exposure to scents.
- Frequently required to sit/stand at a computer or in a stationary position as well as load and unloading heavy equipment.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office productivity equipment, such as copy machine, printer, and phone.
- Frequently required to move about within the facility for meetings, office equipment, and daily operationns
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct or Lived Experience with homelessness, addiction, and/or low-income populations.
- Understanding of the issues surrounding homelessness, chemical dependency, domestic violence, and sexual assault
- Access reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
