The Fuel Sales Representative is responsible for developing an assigned sales territory, increasing customer purchases and overall market share. Adjusts sales efforts based on customer and market needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory or customer segment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective commercial, agricultural, and industrial fuel customers.
- Develop and present customized fuel solutions based on client needs, including bulk fuel delivery and pricing strategies.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely fuel deliveries and service quality.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and forecasts in ACT systems.
- Attend trade shows, networking events, and industry meetings as required.
- Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, preferably in the fuel, petroleum, or energy industry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to develop new business and close sales
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally
WORK AUTHORIZATION
Evidence of work authorization upon employment is required in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. Completion of USCIS form I-9 will be required in order to verify employment eligibility within 3 business days of the first day of employment.
