Job Summary
Provides administrative and technical support to the laboratory, including accessioning, data entry, result reporting, faxing reports to physician offices, answering phones, gives patient results, double checks requisitions and handles patient call backs. Must understand overall laboratory operations and possess the knowledge and ability to provide technical and administrative support to the laboratory sections, physicians and physician office staff.
Minimum Qualifications
· Education
o High School Diploma required
o Associates degree preferred
· Experience
o 2 years customer service experience preferred
· Licensure and/or Certification
o None required
· Skills
o Must have excellent customer service skills
o Must have strong administrative skills and working knowledge of medical terminology.
o Strong organizational and communication skills required. Ability to work with confidential information. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and medical-based software.
o Ability to work independently, with attention to follow through and full documentation.
o Must be detail and task oriented.
o Ability to train and assist others.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
