Position Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator – Cardiac Cath Lab (CC-CCL) will assist the Assistant VP of Patient Services in overseeing the daily clinical operations of a multidisciplinary team. The CC-CCL will manage, develop and coordinate clinical programs and operational activities on a 24-hour basis. The CC- CCL will review and monitor staffing levels and productivity, insure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards, evaluate the educational and competency needs of staff, and assist with performance evaluations for team members. The CC- CCL will evaluate the clinical practice of specified discipline and review clinical records to ensure standards of care and quality of services are provided. The CC-CCL will develop and implement performance improvement activities and manage/resolve concerns of personnel, develop objectives and goals, assist with annual budgets, equipment and supply needs, and will serve in rotation as administrator on call.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Qualified in one of the following ways required.
- Bachelor’s degree (BSN) in Nursing required, Master’s preferred or;
- Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiology Technology required.
Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years Cardiac Cath Lab specific experience required.
- Previous hospital leadership experience required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- If qualified as a Registered Nurse:
- Current South Carolina (or compact state) licensure as RN (SCLLR) in good standing required or;
- If qualified as a Radiology Technologist:
- Registered or Registry eligible by the ARRT required.
- Certification with the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Special Skills:
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with colleagues, physicians, department heads, and member of executive leadership required.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Explorer and PowerPoint required.
- Exemplary core customer service skills strongly required.
- Knowledge of program development and administration required.
- Strong organizational skills required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in all situations required.
- Ability to consistently exercise independent judgment required.
