Position Summary
Functions as an advanced practice practitioner, maintaining and promoting the health of the patient requiring care, practicing medicine under the license of a licensed Physician. Provides diagnostic and preventative care under the supervision of a physician. Exams, diagnoses and decides treatment for patients, including analyzing x-rays and lab results, writes prescriptions, and takes patients' histories. May work in both inpatient and outpatient situations and performs independently under the license of a physician or as part of a treatment team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Previous Physician Assistant experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the Commonwealth of Kentucky required.
