As a Cardiac Sonographer you will complete all functions necessary to perform quality echocardiograms, stress echoes, and in some location vascular studies.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Able to provide direct patient care to patients in both the stable and acute care settings.
Works with general supervision, structuring own work patterns within a general outline.
Responsible for reporting interpretations to physicians when completed.
Referring unusual situations or problems to physician/supervisor
Ability to accurately calculate in apothecary and metric systems for drug administration and document clinical information.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or G.E.D
Current ARDMS or CCI or registry eligible and pass registry within one year of hire
Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program
A valid driver’s license
BLS or ACLS (Will need to obtain within 30 days of hire)
Desired Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in the Cardiology field
One (1) years’ experience preferred as an ultrasound technologist. Cardiology experience preferred
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Deadline and detail-oriented
Work Environment
This position is a clinical position and will report to the office Monday- Friday from 08:00 am – 16:30 PM.
Physical Requirements
This position requires a full range of body motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 50 pounds.
