Position Overview:
As a Staff Program Manager, the candidate will work with engineering, business, and operations teams to establish the plan of record for various programs in Inseego's roadmap. This role also requires collaboration with key engineering and business leads to define the end-to-end product plan—from requirements through broad market launch with direct and indirect customers. The candidate is responsible for the successful execution of the company's product portfolio, including software integration tasks with customers. Communicating program milestones, schedules, and processes to upper management is a key aspect of this role. An understanding of industrial use cases and requirements is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead program management activities, including tracking milestones, schedules, and deliverables
- Interface with potential customers and track deliverables
- Communicate program milestones, schedule slips, and issue mitigation strategies to upper management
- Oversee project budgeting, resource utilization, material planning, project planning, and NPI build planning
- Assist customers with the integration of Inseego products into their use cases, including software and system-level integration
- Serve as a technical liaison to help customers with system integration prior to engaging development teams
- Play an active role in evolving software architecture
- Willingness to travel as needed; overseas experience is preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in the wireless industry
- 5+ years of program management experience, including oversight of projects involving modems or smartphones with integrated hardware and software development
- PMP/PMI certification is highly preferred
- Hands-on experience with Linux USB drivers and integrations for Diag, AT, RMNET, and MBIM
- Demonstrated success managing complex projects, especially those involving new hardware and firmware design
- In-depth experience with engineering processes for hardware, firmware, software, mechanical design, and new product introduction (NPI)
- Familiarity with wireless standards such as 5G, LTE, CDMA-1xRTT/EVDO, and GPRS/UMTS
- Experience working with major North American carrier customers and a deep understanding of carrier acceptance processes
- Operational knowledge of BOM structures, supply chain logistics, and factory processes
- Experience in quality management, including factory yield analysis, first article inspection (FAI), and customer quality metric reporting
- Proven ability to lead and influence global, cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate PMO team activities and engage directly with senior management
- Skilled in risk identification, impact analysis, and mitigation strategies
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and standard productivity tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salary Range: $128,987-$158,400
