2 Business Development Interns
Location:

Pay:
Maryland minimum wage
(with opportunity for additional hours and potential hire in Fall 2025)
Duration:
May 1st – August 15th, 2025
Hours:
16 hours per week
Choose one of the following schedules:
- Monday–Wednesday, 9 AM – 1 PM or 1 PM – 5 PM
- Tuesday–Thursday, 9 AM – 1 PM or 1 PM – 5 PM
Business Development Intern – Summary
Role Overview:
Support the Business Development team by identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships, strengthening referral pipelines, and learning the ins and outs of healthcare growth strategies in a startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify medical facilities and treatment centers in Maryland where Hygea can add value
- Conduct outreach to educate leadership, business developers, and admissions teams about Hygea's services
- Build relationships with key stakeholders by coordinating introductions and meetings with Hygea leadership
- Attend industry events and seminars to represent and promote Hygea
- Collaborate with senior Business Developers to help them meet strategic goals
- Act as a liaison between BD team members and their network of contacts
- Add value by helping senior BDs identify and pursue potential partnership targets
Professional Development Opportunities:
- Work directly with Hygea's executive leadership team to gain exposure to key areas of the business:
- President: Community partnerships and referral relationships
- CFO: Financial goals and strategic planning
- CMO: Startup marketing and brand growth strategies
