Responsibilities:
- Build Robust Data Infrastructure:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL / ELT pipelines using tools like BigQuery, Dataform, Cloud Dataflow, and dbt, ingesting data from sources including GA4 and event-based systems.
- Develop user-level fact and dimension tables to support granular analytics, personalized experiences, and advanced experimentation use cases.
- Ensure Data Quality & Trust:
- Implement automated data validation, anomaly detection, and backfill mechanisms to ensure high data reliability and transparency.
- Enable Analytics & Experimentation:
- Collaborate with data analysts, product managers, and CRO experts to translate business questions into scalable technical solutions.
- Support experimentation pipelines by building infrastructure aligned with A/B testing principles, including lift calculation, statistical testing, and segmentation.
- Optimize Performance & Cost:
- Continuously tune pipelines and workflows for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency, leveraging orchestration tools like Airflow or Cloud Composer.
- Promote Data-Driven Culture:
- Create reusable Looker dashboards and data models that surface critical insights to stakeholders across the business.
- Advocate for best practices in data documentation, version control, and CI/CD for data workflows.
Requirements:
- Technical Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong grasp of SQL, Python, and data modeling.
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Dataflow.
- Experience working with GA4 data and event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with tools like dbt, Apache Spark, Airflow, or similar.
- Analytics & Experimentation:
- Solid understanding of A/B testing concepts (hypothesis testing, p-values,uplift).
- Experience working closely with analytics or data science teams to support statistical modeling or experimentation.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Looker (or similar BI tools) to create dashboards and data visualizations.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and infrastructure-as-code.
