DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

The Certified Pharmacy Technician, under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist, assists with the filling of medication orders/prescriptions, unit doses, checks outdates, fills stock, prepares IV medications, compounds, and delivers medications throughout the facility. Assists with collection of accurate and complete patient home medication lists.

QUALIFICATIONS

Professional/Educational
-
Current pharmacy technician licensure issued by the State of Illinois (20 for Certified Tech hour CEU's included) with biennial renewal.

Current Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (EXCPT)

DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
