Position: Property Management BookkeeperType: Part-time (non-exempt), 15 - 20 hours per week
Essential Functions of the Bookkeeper position:
Manage accounting utilizing QuickBooks for multiple residential properties.
Enter and reconcile rent deposits for assigned properties.
Bank account reconciliation.
General Journal Entries.
Accounts Payable duties
Generate and distribute accurate Monthly Financial Statements for assigned properties.
Liaise with Accountants for Year End tax preparation, or as needed, for assigned properties.
Liaise with Bankers, Vendors, and other agencies as needed, for assigned properties.
Liaise with Auditors for Worker’s Comp Insurance, Sales Tax, or other required audits.
Generate and issue 1099’s & 1096’s to applicable vendors as needed, for assigned properties.
Obtain W9’s and Certificates of Insurance from vendors, as needed, for assigned properties.
Cooperate with various company personnel in completing assigned tasks.
Display the necessary initiative and dependability to work alone or in a small group.
Perform all duties in a safe and professional manner and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Minimum physical demands of the position:
Must be able to lift or move objects up to 10lbs., or with assistance when needed.
Must be able to sit, stand and work as long as 8 hours in different positions.
Use the hand and arm regularly for writing and/or typing.

Required Experience and Skills of the Bookkeeper:
5 years Accounting experience preferred
Accounting or related degree preferred
QuickBooks proficiency
Microsoft Office proficiency
