Job Summary
Verify and process sales orders.
Essential Functions
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Analyze submitted sales orders and identify any areas that need attention following different set of guidelines for each business entity, including but not limited to:
- Compliance to sales policies and procedures
- New customer account set up
- Inconsistent, missing information
- Multi-vendor order flow
- Account and order notes
- Special requests
- Contradicting instructions
- Profitability and commissions
- Product safety
- Make necessary order corrections and contact sales partners or support staff for clarification.
- Transfer ready orders from the front-end system to the back-end system, addressing any discrepancies.
- Process credit card payments and notify relevant parties about failed transactions.
- Review and release previously held orders, sending purchase orders to suppliers.
- Review and resolve items on periodic reports.
- Monitor and respond to requests in the team email account.
- Participate in continuous process improvement efforts.
- Assist other team members with questions and share verifier team expertise with associates from other departments when needed.
- Perform new systems testing in the verifier field.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Knowledge equivalent to graduation from high school
- One to two years or related experience.
Competencies/Skills
- Must have computer experience.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulously identify and address discrepancies in submitted orders.
- Communication: Effectively convey information to sales partners and support staff for order clarification.
- Problem-Solving: Quickly analyze issues in orders and implement appropriate solutions.
- Multitasking: Efficiently manage multiple aspects of order verification processes.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer
- Typing and using a computer keyboard for extended periods.
- Answering phone calls and communicating with customers via email.
Mental Requirements:
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and manage time effectively.
Environmental Requirements:
- Working indoors in a typical office environment.
- Use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers.
- Interaction with team members and possibly occasional interactions with customers in person, via phone, or email.
Certification Requirement
Industry certification at the CAS (Certified Advertising Specialist) level.
