Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and providing leadership within the nursing team.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance.
- Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required. BSN Preferred.
- Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
- BLS required. ACLS within the first year of employment.
- Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
- Preferred Education: PNCC

Able to push in excess of 150 pound wheelchair with patient and equipment. Occasionally lifts patients with assist 125 pounds or more. Spends eight hours or more in front of computer, monitor or similar screen utilizing keyboard and/or mouse. Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations of CPR and obtaining equipment. Must be able to handle critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure. Has a keen sense of hearing and keen visual acuity to respond to critical changing patient situations from actual observations and/or equipment alarms. May be subject to inside environmental conditions, hazards (including electrical currents and exposure to high heat and chemicals) and infectious diseases. May have to function around prisoners or mental patients.

Patient rooms, nursing unit, hospital environment.
