In this crucial role, you will take charge of our analytics infrastructure and lead a talented team to leverage data for driving business success. With around 10 years of experience in data and analytics leadership, you will be expected to hit the ground running by understanding the needs of the business and enhancing our operating insights.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead & Grow: Inspire and develop the Business Intelligence team, cultivating a high-performing, analytical culture that drives results.
- Translate & Align: Convert executive and departmental priorities into actionable analytics strategies that enhance insight and accountability across the organization.
- Strategic Partnership: Act as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, delivering actionable insights that align with our business operating system.
- Design & Deliver: Oversee the creation and implementation of reports, dashboards, KPIs, and ad hoc analyses tailored for executives and operational teams.
- Advance Analytics: Develop advanced analytics capabilities to proactively identify trends, opportunities, and operational efficiencies that benefit the organization.
- Elevate Visualization: Standardize and enhance how data is visualized and consumed throughout the company, ensuring clarity and accessibility.
- Collaborate on Data Management: Partner with the technology team to design and evolve the enterprise data warehouse, ensuring robust data governance practices are in place.
- Influence Data Architecture: Shape the design of data architecture, ETL processes, and database models to guarantee data accuracy, timeliness, and suitability for various purposes.
- Champion Data Quality: Advocate for data quality and consistency across all systems and integrations, fostering trust in our data.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with department heads (e.g., underwriting, claims, sales, operations) to understand key metrics and provide tailored analytics support.
- Empower Users: Train and enable business users to become self-sufficient with data tools while establishing governance around key reporting systems.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Experience: Over 10 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data strategy roles, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated experience in building and scaling analytics functions within fast-paced or high-growth companies, ideally in the insurance, financial services, or tech-enabled sectors.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker, with strong SQL skills and experience collaborating with data engineering teams on pipeline and architecture design.
- Data Warehousing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of data warehousing principles and proven experience guiding the evolution of enterprise data platforms.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into insights suitable for executive-level decision-making.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in data science, analytics, finance, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with property & casualty insurance or regulated financial industries.
- Analytical Skills: Knowledge of predictive modeling, risk scoring, or machine learning applications in operational settings.
- Cultural Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within teams.
