Position Summary:
We’re seeking a dynamic and highly motivated finance and accounting professional to join our WELLSTAR team as Finance Manager. As a key member of finance leadership, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, deliver high-quality business support to leaders, and drive financial excellence across the organization. You are an experienced team leader with a strong track record in general accounting, financial analysis, and business support. You operate with high integrity, continuously seek process improvements, and proactively mitigate financial risks. The ideal candidate is confident, assertive, an excellent communicator, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. The position will initially report directly to the WELLSTAR CFO.
What you will be doing:
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.
- Oversee month-end close activities including general accounting, billings and accounts receivable, accounts payable and banking/payment activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and variance analysis and present insights to business unit leaders.
- Support FP&A team in preparing budgets, forecasts, key performance metrics and strategic financial analysis.
- Review contracts and prepare IFRS technical accounting assessments, as needed.
- Prepare and review working papers to support quarterly and annual financial reporting and manage external audit queries.
- Continuously assess and implement improvements to accounting processes, driving efficiency and scalability.
- Maintain and monitor internal controls over financial reporting to ensure strong design, documentation, and operational effectiveness.
- Support integration activities for newly acquired companies.
- Collaborate with finance transformation team to implement new accounting systems and supporting software to automate reporting processes.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives to enable WELLSTAR’s strategic growth plans.
You have:
- CPA designation required
- 5+ years of progressive finance & accounting experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial role
- Experience in SaaS or technology-focused companies is highly preferred, with a deep understanding of subscription-based revenue models and SaaS metrics (e.g., MRR, ARR, Churn).
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and demonstrated experience in designing and implementing accounting processes and internal controls
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced excel skills
- High attention to detail, with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
