Join us to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians
At Neo, we're on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn't for everyone. It's complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.
The Role
We"re not just building software; we"re shaping the future of finance. At Neo Financial, speed and innovation are in our DNA. We"re a tight-knit team of passionate individuals who thrive on tackling ambitious challenges and making a real impact. If you"re someone who rolls up their sleeves, takes ownership, and isn"t afraid to run with an idea, you"ll feel right at home here.
What you"ll be doing:
You will be the essential force ensuring our brilliant software development teams deliver high-quality features and products efficiently and on schedule. As a Sr. Program Delivery Coordinator, your strategic impact will be immense:
- Master Orchestration: You"ll map, plan, and orchestrate the journey of numerous simultaneous software development projects, leveraging critical path analysis and detailed work-back planning.
- Solving Core Challenges: You"ll directly address one of our biggest delivery challenges – managing, prioritizing, and sequencing the high volume and diverse nature of incoming requests across critical shared resources like UX design, mobile, web, and infrastructure teams.
- Accelerating Delivery: By proactively anticipating and mitigating roadblocks, fostering crystal-clear cross-functional communication, and rigorously driving execution, you will directly accelerate iteration cycles and release velocity.
- Empowering Teams: You won"t just track progress; you"ll empower our teams to operate at their highest potential, delivering exceptional results that translate into a stronger product, delighted users, and significant business growth.
- Collaborate with Engineering Directors and Product Leaders to develop and maintain detailed program roadmaps, project plans, and delivery estimates, ensuring accuracy and timely updates.
- Champion data-driven delivery by establishing and driving the collection, analysis, and reporting of key metrics (e.g., velocity, predictability, cycle time) to inform planning and identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify, document, and aggressively drive the resolution of impediments and risks, effectively navigating dependencies across internal teams, external vendors, and partners.
- Analyze project dependencies and workflows to identify critical paths and strategic opportunities to parallelize work, optimizing delivery timelines.
- Ensure seamless and transparent communication and collaboration across engineering teams, product management, design, operations, and other key business stakeholders.
- Orchestrate end-to-end release management processes, including coordination of release notes, communication plans, and necessary business readiness activities.
- Design and facilitate effective project cadences (e.g., status meetings, planning sessions, retrospectives) focused on progress tracking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous delivery excellence by identifying process optimizations and working with Product Managers and Engineering Leadership to implement them.
- Integrate and manage compliance and legal requirements within project timelines, ensuring necessary stage-gate reviews and adherence.
- Contribute significantly to the development and refinement of project and program management frameworks, processes, and tools within the organization.
- Mentor and potentially supervise a Junior Program Delivery resource, guiding their work in areas like dashboarding, reporting, plan updates, and tool administration (Jira, etc.).
Who we are looking for:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Program or Project Management within an agile, high-growth software development environment.
- Deep practical knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and experience applying them effectively to drive delivery.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, adept at managing multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex information to diverse audiences (technical and non-technical).
- Meticulous attention to detail and a highly organized approach to documentation, tracking, and reporting.
- Proficiency with modern project and program management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Smartsheets, or similar). Experience configuring or optimizing these tools is a strong plus.
- Proven track record of proactive risk identification, mitigation, and successful impediment resolution.
- A highly proactive, independent approach with a strong sense of ownership and drive for results.
- A genuine passion for technology and innovation, coupled with a desire to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
