Part-Time Yard Hostler – $22.70/hr
Location: Springfield, MO
Schedule: Mon–Thurs, 11 AM–4 PM | Fri, 1 PM–10 PM
Hours: Approximately 30 Hours/week
SGC Foodservice, a family-owned company with over 160 years of history, is looking for a reliable, CDL-licensed Yard Hostler to join our team. If you prefer a down-to-earth work culture where your contributions matter—and you're not the "corporate type", this might be the perfect fit.
What You'll Do:
- Move trailers around our yard and to off-site storage
- Back trailers to docks and set temps
- Inspect equipment and fuel vehicles
- Perform daily yard checks and monitor fuel levels
- Maintain accurate safety and inspection records
What You Bring:
- Valid Class A CDL and ability to pass a DOT physical
- Ability to lift/push/pull freight and work physically throughout shift
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check
