• The Director is a key leader for the inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, including substance use disorder services, for Sinai Health System and exemplifies Sinai’s values and supports the mission and vision of the organization. This position is responsible for applying sound management principles to a variety of programs and services to insure that quality services are provided as economically as possible. • The Director is responsible for the supporting a patient centric approach through key initiatives within the pillars of excellence of Quality/Safety, Service, People, Financial and Growth. Within this balanced model, the director is responsible for planning, staffing, coordinating, reporting, budgeting, directing, overseeing, organizing, directing, growing and controlling activities of assigned areas to ensure that high quality care is effectively and efficiently provided. • This position is tasked with providing clear direction and efficient day-to-day management of the operations and performance outcomes. Facilitates and oversees all human capital, financial, and material resources in support of the organizational goals and objectives, and be responsible for the development of policies, procedures, productivity metrics, quality and safety program, standards, and training to enhance the viability and efficiency. • The primary focus of this role geared towards strategic program development and growth, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence, system level integration/alignment, community outreach and support, quality and customer experience, physician engagement, and regulatory compliance. The incumbent operates independently within the budgetary limitations and the broad framework outlined by SHS and maintain the internal organization of the hospital and clinics to meet changing needs in patient care, community and instruction programs. • This position must be able to provide support and collaborate with system leaders and external partners on strategy, development, quality, physician relations, hospital administrators, and medical staff to ensure that behavioral health services, including substance use disorder services, are integrated effectively, efficiently, and seamlessly throughout the entire system. • This position has dual reporting to the SMG President and HCH Site President (Dotted line to ACNO). • Provides Supervision to Managers and Supervisors, Office Managers and Clinicians as necessary (Dotted line to ACNO).
Education and Work Experience:
- BSN, BA, BHA, Licensed as an LCPC, LCSW or LP
- MHA, or MBA, or MSN or Master’s Degree in Clinical Field preferred
- Minimum of ten (10) years of leadership in social services, behavior health, substance use disorders service lines.
- Minimum of five (5) years of management and leadership experience required.
- Demonstrated experience in successful oversight and strategic development of behavioral health services.
- Demonstrated experience in contract management, strategic planning, program development and deployment required.
- Experience and ability to work in a multi-facility system a plus.
- Progressive administrative and operational experience in physician organizations, where the position has required in-depth knowledge of planning, marketing, operations, finance, information systems, and physician collaboration.
