Job Summary:
IER is seeking a motivated and creative Entry-Level Marketing Associate to support our mission of promoting sound energy policy. The Marketing Associate will assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to amplify IER’s research, engage target audiences, and expand our reach. This role is ideal for a proactive individual passionate about public policy, communications, and marketing.

Key responsibilities will be:
- Content Creation: Assist in drafting and editing marketing materials aligned with IER’s mission.
- Initiative Support: Collaborate on marketing campaigns to promote IER’s research reports, events, and advocacy initiatives, including email marketing and digital advertising.
- Development Writing: Support fundraising efforts by drafting compelling donor communications, grant proposals, and development materials to engage supporters.
- Event Promotion: Assist in marketing IER events, such as webinars, conferences, and speaking engagements, to drive attendance and engagement.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and report on marketing metrics (e.g., website traffic, email open rates,marketing engagement) to optimize strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong experience with various design tools (Adobe Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of digital marketing tools, such as Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and WordPress.
- Interest in energy policy, free-market principles, and public policy advocacy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- 0-2 years of marketing or communications experience (internships applicable).
