Happy Paws is building a new kind of veterinary platform, one that supports local clinics with
better systems, stronger teams, and deeper community connection. We acquire and operate independent
vet clinics, helping them grow while preserving their unique cultures. We’re focused on delivering
exceptional care and scaling impact across our growing portfolio.
The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Growth to lead marketing across our clinic network and drive same-store
revenue growth. This role partners closely with the CEO, COO and clinic managers to build the full
customer lifecycle strategy, from acquiring new patients to re-engaging current ones and increasing
transaction value.
You’ll own performance marketing, lifecycle communications, and local growth initiatives. You’ll
also develop and scale the Happy Paws Growth Playbook to roll out across new acquisitions.
What You'll Do
• Own new patient growth through SEM, paid social, and digital campaigns
• Manage current patient marketing via email, SMS, newsletters, and in-clinic
communications
• Build and lead systems for A/B testing, tracking, and marketing automation
• Increase visit frequency, retention, and transaction value through offers and lifecycle
strategies
• Create scalable playbooks to drive growth across newly acquired clinics
• Align marketing with clinical capacity, service mix, and operational goals
• Coordinate with each clinic on local marketing, partnerships, and community events, including
shelters, parks, and onsite activations
• Spend time in the field early on to develop an in-person community playbook and train clinic
managers to eventually own local execution
Qualifications
• 5–8+ years in growth marketing, performance marketing, or multi-location consumer
marketing
• Proven success in a consumer services business (wellness, fitness, healthcare, dental,
etc.)
• Hands-on with SEM, paid social, CRM tools, and email/SMS platforms
• Strong data and testing mindset with experience running experiments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Bonus if you have:
• Experience in the vet or pet wellness space
• Local marketing and community event experience
• Built playbooks or systems for scaling marketing across multiple locations
