JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to the Plant Manager. Responsible for safe and professional operation of Class A tractor-trailer equipment to support the processing plant, growers and feed mill related shipping requirements. This position will maintain a food safety culture and require all employees to participate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.

All employees are responsible to report food safety and quality issues to those responsible to initiate action.

Operate truck equipment to ensure safe transportation of eggs, feed and farm supplies as required.
Pre-op inspection of tractor / trailer.
Take inventory of materials at farms.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Loading, unloading and transport of eggs from all grower facilities to the processing facility
Loading, transport and unloading of feed to all grower facilities as needed.
Transportation of farm supplies to all grower facilities as required
Completion of all necessary paperwork that accounts for goods being delivered or picked up.
Maintain accurate DOT records as required to maintain Class A CDL status.
Be able and willing to assist in other areas of shipping and warehouse activities as needed.
Observe and follow all personnel safety procedures.
Knowledge of basic food safety requirements and ability to communicate any food safety and quality concerns to supervisor and/or plant manager.
Support shipping dept. by moving trailers around in the yard.

MARGINAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Any/all as needed.
