Description:
Make an Impact. Lead a Team. Build Something That Lasts.
At Clearwave Fiber, we’re building more than a network — we’re building stronger communities. When people can connect, work, learn, and thrive, the entire community moves forward. That’s our purpose, and we back it up with action, accountability, and heart.
We are looking for an Installation & Repair Supervisor who takes charge, solves problems without drama, and leads from the front. This role is for someone who can coach a team, uphold standards, and roll up their sleeves when needed — all while delivering a consistently excellent customer experience.
If you thrive in fast-moving field environments, know your fiber from your coax, and can motivate a team to deliver quality work every time, this is your opportunity.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and support a team of skilled technicians responsible for installing and repairing voice, video, broadband, and fiber services.
- Oversee day-to-day field operations, scheduling, service orders, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and timely completion of work.
- Conduct quality control assessments and audits to keep work standards high and repeat truck rolls low.
- Serve as the go-between for Operations, Sales, Engineering, and Customers — keeping everyone aligned and informed.
- Analyze trouble tickets and productivity data to identify wins, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
- Train and develop technicians on evolving fiber and fixed wireless technologies.
- Model professional behavior and create a team culture of accountability, pride, and ownership.
- Take part in hiring, performance feedback, coaching, and recognition.
- Maintain accurate reporting, inventory accountability, crew schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Jump in to support other Clearwave markets as needed.
Requirements:
What You Bring
- 5+ years in telecommunications installation, repair, construction, or field operations.
- Strong knowledge of copper, HFC, GPON, Fiber-to-the-Home systems, and broadband provisioning.
- Experience leading, training, or mentoring field teams — formal supervisor experience a plus.
- Solid understanding of AC/DC theory and safe work practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills — you see issues, own them, and fix them.
- Organizational and time management skills that would make even the most chaotic day look effortless.
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently — written, verbal, and in the field.
- A clean driving record, valid license, and willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
Physical & Work Environment
This is not a desk job. You will:
- Walk job sites, climb ladders, work in attics, yards, easements, and outdoor environments.
- Work with small components, tools, and testing equipment.
- Lift equipment up to 90 lbs when needed.
- Work safely around electrical and utility structures — safety first, always.
If you want a role where your work directly impacts customers and communities — and your leadership shapes the next generation of field technicians — this is your seat at the table.
