Clinical Liaison
POSITION SUMMARY:
To perform pre-admission TBI and SCI patient assessments to provide information for interdisciplinary planning. General marketing duties and promoting and raising awareness of Craig Hospital to Physicians, Social Workers, Hospitals and other healthcare-related providers. This will involve developing relationships with providers and educating them about the services Craig Hospital provides. This position will work to increase referrals and nurture existing relationships with healthcare providers.

Rate of pay: $38.77-$55.84 per hour based on experience
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Licensure/Certification/Registrations: Current Colorado clinical license or registration required, as appropriate. For RN applicants, specialty certification (CNRN or CRRN) is preferred. Must have a current, valid Colorado driver’s license in good standing and insurable.
- Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree or above required with an applicable clinical degree; PT, OT, SW, RN, ST preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years experience in SCI and TBI rehabilitation required. Minimum 2 years admission and/or marketing experience preferred.
- Skills & Abilities:Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Skilled in Microsoft Office suite and other computer abilities. Skilled at working in interdisciplinary teams. Gather, analyze and synthesize information and data from multiple sources. Comfortable working in multiple locations and facilities. Skilled at working professionally with professionals inside and outside of Craig Hospital. The ability to be flexible and prioritize a constantly changing schedule and have reliable transportation to travel both locally and nationally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assess TBI and SCI referrals; determine appropriateness of referral; gather information for team planning.
- Align patient and family expectations prior to admission
- Work with CNS physicians regarding medical status of referrals and appropriateness of referral and readiness for admission.
- Work with Chief Financial Officer and Director of Admissions to negotiate with third-party payors regarding pricing and length of services provided at Craig.
- Research and develop a written strategic analysis of local, regional, and national SCI and TBI marketplaces — considering geography, epidemiology, rehabilitation referral trends, and competition.
- Travel to other local, regional, and national facilities and customers to disseminate information about programs, promote the use of Craig Hospital’s services and perform community outreach activities as needed.
- Develop an annual strategic marketing time and territory customer call plan. Track effectiveness and record referral and admission data. Modify the plan as marketplace changes dictate.
- Promote and raise awareness of Craig’s programs through relationships and education of referral sources, including but not limited to, acute care hospital staff, LTACs, physicians, insurance representatives, case managers, and other professional personnel.
- Facilitate and deliver presentations to physicians, clinical staff and other professionals.
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources, with at least 50% of time spent in direct customer contact.
- Gather, analyze and synthesize marketing information and patient data from multiple sources. Write strategic analyses, marketing plans, time and territory plans.
