Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)
Mary Greeley Medical Center is seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead our human capital strategy and operations. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CHRO will drive workforce excellence, foster a culture of engagement and accountability, and ensure alignment between HR practices and the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
This executive will oversee all aspects of Human Resources, including talent acquisition, employee relations, total rewards, organizational development, workforce planning, and HR operations. The CHRO will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Trustees on all workforce-related matters.

Key Responsibilities
- Champion human capital strategy that fully aligns with the organization's strategic goals, values, and long-term vision.
- Advise the CEO, Board, and executive leaders on emerging workforce trends, talent strategy, and leadership development.
- Oversee recruitment, retention, and succession planning, ensuring the strength and sustainability of the leadership pipeline.
- Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and psychological safety through inclusive leadership and evidence-based practices.
- Design and guide Total Rewards strategies that attract and retain top talent, uphold regulatory compliance, and reflect organizational priorities.
- Ensure HR compliance, data integrity, and operational excellence across all human resource functions.
- Lead enterprise-wide initiatives in organizational development, change management, and performance management systems to support continuous improvement.
About the Role
This full-time, executive-level position is highly visible and hands-on, and is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for shaping a forward-thinking workforce strategy that drives organizational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to lead transformative HR initiatives, foster a culture of engagement and accountability, and directly influence the future of healthcare delivery through strategic talent leadership.
Required:
- Master’s degree in human resources, Organizational Development, or Business-related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 5 years in an executive role
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR operations, and organizational development
- Demonstrated success in leading strategic HR initiatives in a complex healthcare or service environment
- SPHR, SHRM-SCP, or equivalent certification within 2 years of hire
Preferred:
- Experience with union environments, healthcare compliance, and HRIS implementation
- Familiarity with Baldrige, Magnet, or other performance excellence frameworks
