At Valley Regional Hospital, patients are the center of our coordinated care system and right now we have an opening for a Manager of Material Management to join our team.
The primary responsibility of the Manager of Material Management is:
- Plans, directs and supervises the daily operations of all assigned functions.
- Leads the ongoing planning, assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programs based on the organization’s strategic direction.
- Act as advisor/resource to all departments with regard to supply, equipment and service needs.
- Develops operating and capital budgets and ensures operation within allocated funds.
- Responsible for implementation of capital equipment, purchased services, supplies and materials necessary for operation.
- Manages, researches, implements and monitors leases and contracts as appropriate.
- Establishes and maintains applicable processes, procedures and systems for assigned functions.
- Maintains appropriate levels of staff and provides leadership in the areas of hiring, scheduling, coaching, performance management and termination actions in accordance with applicable policies.
- Leads and or participates in quality initiatives within the department and/or participates in organization-wide quality projects.
- Ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
An ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in education and experience
- 2 years’ management/supervisory experience required
- 3 years’ relevant professional experience
- Prior fiscal management experience
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to lead a team and resolve conflicts
- Facility with computers and applicable software applications
- Confidentiality a must
Compensation:
Min: $79,105.00
Max: $109,919.00
