The right candidate for this position is someone with extensive experience in Safety who will support our projects. This person will constantly be responsible for successfully integrating safety initiatives into the functional operation of the different projects by maintaining processes and procedures to prevent injuries and violations of the law or company policies and minimize the environmental impact of our operations.
About the role
Summary/Objective: Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Patriot Erectors is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Sub-Fabrication Coordinator to oversee and manage our relationships with various fabrication sub-contractors. This role is crucial in ensuring that our sub-contractors meet company standards while negotiating contracts and pricing effectively.
Critical Duties:
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with sub-fabricators to ensure smooth operations.
- Negotiation: Negotiate rates with sub-fabricators to ensure cost-effective fabrication of materials aligned with Patriot's cost structure.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor sub-fabricator performance metrics and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Project Coordination: Update and maintain Tekla and Patriot-Link regarding sub-contract projects.
- Liaison: Act as the liaison and manage communications with various internal teams and Patriot Erector Divisions, including Project Management, Purchasing, Craft/Field, and Logistics.
- Ensure ROS dates of subbed-out scope are met and update Project Managers on any delays.
- Coordinate with Cost Control and Project Manager to ensure budgetary needs are met and request Purchase Orders for sub-fabricated scope.
- Coordinate with Document Control to ensure correct documents are transmitted to sub-fabricators.
Essential Duties:
- Assist QA/QC, Safety, and Finance with prequalifications of new sub-fabricators.
- Assist field teams with resolution of quality issues related to sub-fabrication scope, including coordination with QA/QC team.
- Manage and increase the approved sub-fabricator list with the help of QA/QC Management.

Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the industrial/commercial steel fabrication industry.
- Ability to read structural/architectural design drawings and identify changes.
- Experience with building information software and MRP management systems (e.g., Tekla Power-Fab).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
